Almost Thanksgiving!!

One half more day of work until 4 days off with my dad and brother here to visit!  I can't wait to spend good quality time with friends and family!

So yesterday was the last of my weekly ultrasound appointments...how I will miss ultrasound tech Irene...we have become great friends!  Everything is still looking good and we are hoping it stays that way.  At just over 24 weeks, the little guy weighs in at 1 pound, 16 ounces, which is just barely over average.  He is so funny to see every week though - I swear he knows when we are taking pictures!  I posted a few of the sonograms from the last 2 weeks visits.  I ended up with really unflattering belly photos at week 24, so I'll wait to post those until week 26! ;-)

He was flapping his arms...learning to swim early!

Flexing for the cameras!! :-)

That head is getting big!!!

Veteran's Day

I am sitting waiting to spend the day with Shilo, so taking advantage of the time!   There has been so much tragedy surrounding our lives recently.  It seems almost daily that I am hearing about something new - whether it be a stranger on the freeway, an unknown co-worker, a family of an old friend or the brother of a close friend.  It is heartbreaking to see the effect on those close to me...I only wish there were something I could do.  It does, however, make me more thankful for the friends and family I have!!  I don't say it often enough, but I am so sincerely grateful to have the unconditional love of my husband, the best parents and brother anyone could ask for, and a small group of friends I can always rely on.  I love you all!

On a happier note, the doctor appointment went well this week.  Everything is keeping on track and he is sure making himself known, both through my extending belly and the consistent kicks to the bladder!  Last night, I was sitting on the couch and was able to feel him through my belly on my hand for the first time.  Greg sat with his hand on my stomach for a while as I continued to tell him when I felt kicks, but I think it is a little too subtle for him yet.  Soon, though!  I am amazed at how much more I can fall in love with him each day!  Now if only we could decide on a name.....

He had a big stretch, arching his back and
raising his arm above his head!

He started making little fishy faces, so his mouth
is open and almost looks like he is singing!

Starting to show at 18 weeks.

Just looking fat, but showing a little more at
22 weeks - he must have a lot of room to spread
out in there before he pops out!
