We did some home searching as well, and found a house that I really liked. We did put an offer in, but despite the "state of the economy", we got outbid. It amazes me how quickly houses are being bought up and how much more people are willing to pay for them than we are...ha! I guess when the right one comes along, it'll work out for us.
With mom here, I was able to get our baby registries done (holy overwhelming!!) and start shopping for nursery design. Last night, Jonnie came over to help us hang the chair rails and I will get the painting done this week. Since we won't be moving any time soon, it feels good to start getting everything set up. I will post pictures as I make progress.

I am also feeling extraordinarily fat, which is a good thing. I definitely miss my weekly appointments with Irene, the ultrasound tech, but the frequent kicks are reassuring. Mom even got to feel him while she was here! This is at 28 weeks, but tomorrow I will already be at 30, so I will post again soon!
Christmas was very mellow, but enjoyable. Eric and Ivette invited us down for dinner and football, which was awesome! We got to see Mari, Ivette's mom, as well! It's hard having family spread so far over the country - I wish we could all be together!! I was amazed at how spoiled little baby Winget is already, though! Grandma got him the bookshelves we wanted for the nursery (Yay!!) and a blanket and bibs handmade with love. Grandma Dee and Grandpa Don are decking him out in Bears apparel already and Dad got him some much needed Devils gear!! Santa even brought him the gorgeous high chair he wanted!! Dee also sent one of Greg's cherished baby blankets that was made by HIS grandma to share with our son...how cool!? Thanks to Mari, Uncle Eric and Aunt Ivette, his closet is filling up quickly with adorable threads. I had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year, but I am already excited to see him here next year...I can only imagine how spoiled he will be then.....
