Almost there!!

Dinner at Yardhouse...those beers look good!!
So Greg turned 32...we're getting old!! Eric and Ivette were able to come up from Tucson to celebrate with us. We went to dinner at the Yardhouse and then to a Coyotes game, which they won in OT! It was great to spend time with future Tio y Tia!

G has his eyes closed, but it's the only picture we have
from the Coyotes game.

38 weeks!

We are into the days for countdown now! Little Benjamin is due in 11 days, which seems insane!! Even crazier is that I have no more than 10 work days until I get to take some time off to watch our little guy grow! We cannot wait to see his face and finally get to hold him in our arms!
Any day now!!

Is there any more room for him
to grow in there?
It looks so cute!!  And daddy even got him a Sparky
pillow for Valentine's Day!

We put a little bit more work into the nursery...hopefully we don't decide to change his name once we see him! ;-) We got the changing table (a HUGE thank you to my friend Leigh who passed down their crib and changing table!!) which looks awesome. All of his clothes, sheets and blankets are washed and hung or folded. All we are waiting on is him. I am getting very anxious, but want him to be ready on his own!

All set and ready for baby!
The weekly appointments are continuing, with the next one on Tuesday.  Two weeks ago, I was dilated 2 cm and last week was just under 3 cm.  I got excited, but the doctor said I should be prepared to hold on another 2 weeks or more!  I am interested to see how it looks this Tuesday!  So far, everything is looking really good - Benjamin is head down and lined up correctly!  There have been a few Braxton Hicks, but nothing consistent.  I have had some aches and soreness, but overall have been feeling really good still.

The Winget's arrived into Tucson and we can't wait to see them!  Looking forward to all the other arrivals in the coming days and weeks!

Four week countdown!!

36 weeks!
We have officially begun the 4 week countdown until the due date!!  This Thursday was 36 weeks, so here are the progress pictures...

Blurry, but the belly sure is getting bigger!

I don't feel like there is any more room in there, but I
know he has lots more growing to do!
I have been measuring small at each of my appointments, but the doctors didn't seem too concerned, so I wasn't too concerned. In the past few weeks, a lot of the people I see frequently and everyone I meet keep commenting on how small I am. I am hoping that will make it easier to lose the weight once he's here! :-)

The growth ultrasound was nerve wracking at first, but very comforting! It had been so long since we had seen him, so I was excited to see him again! I was also hoping to see my old friend Irene, but she recently had a hysterectomy, so we had a fill-in. Either way, we were anxious to see how he was growing. Through all the measurements, they are estimating that he weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces at that time.

Another profile, this time with his mouth open.
As he is getting bigger, it is more difficult to get "pretty pictures" since the screen is small. We did manage to get a couple profile pictures though. He was furrowing his forehead and opening and closing his mouth, practicing his swallowing. We could even see his chest - it was moving up and down really quickly as he practiced his breathing movements. It was AMAZING!! I can't wait to see him breath as I hold him!!
If we had any doubts, we definitely confirmed it's a
boy in there!

So a silly picture, but with how difficult it was to make out body parts, he made sure to show us his scrotum...ha!  It seems huge to me, but she said it's because it is right up against the uterus and could be a little swollen right now.  But we are definitely sure Benjamin is a boy!

He is right in the average range at 5 1/2 pounds now.  Typical growth is 1/2 pound a week, so he's right on track to be a healthy 8 pound baby!

We are getting everything ready and even more anxious to meet little Ben, but don't want him to come before he's ready.  We have lots of friends and family scheduled to be here in the next month or so and we are so excited to have all of you!!
